PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a long ribbon-like crystal body having good accuracy by pulling a seed crystal and the ribbon-like crystal grown at its front end in a perpendicular direction with a rectilinear pulling device, then continuously pulling the ribbon-like crystal with a mechanism capable of executing continuous pulling in succession thereto. SOLUTION: The rectilinear pulling device 30 has a fitting 34 for fixing the seed crystal l2, a regulating mechanism 35 for regulating the pulling up within a crucible 13 of the seed crystal 12 and a mobile mechanism 31 for pulling the ribbon-like crystal 16 growing along a guide rail 32 by a motor 33. The continuous pulling mechanism 40 consists of two sheets of belts 41, clamps the ribbon-like crystal 16 and pulls the crystal upward by rotation of the belts 41. A cutter 39 cuts the seed crystal 12 and the ribbon-like crystal 16. Rollers 46 move the ribbon-like crystal 16 while pressing the crystal along the curved surface of a cutting off section 45. A ribbon-like crystal cutting device 47 cuts the pulled up ribbon-like crystal 16 to about 1 m. |
