DEVICE, SYSTEM, AND METHOD FOR DATA TRANSFER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To greatly lighten the load on a host CPU when data are transferred from the host CPU to a sound processor which reproduces musical sound in real time. SOLUTION: When the host CPU 14 as a transfer source transfers musical sound data, the host CPU 14 and an DMAC(direct memory access controller) 44 handle a data size of 2560 words larger than the 256-word memory capacity of a buffer memory 41 (42) and the sound processor 24 temporarily stops the transfer after musical sound data are transferred until one buffer memory 41 is full, changes the transfer destination position to the buffer memory 41 which is emptied and resets the temporary stop of the transfer once musical sound data in the other buffer memory 42 are reproduced by the sound processor 24 to empty the buffer, thereby restarting transferring musical sound data to the emptied buffer memory 42.
