PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a measuring mead which can buffer an excessive impulsive force from a work with a simple structure. SOLUTION: A bolt 28 which connects the arm 18 and feeler 20 of a measuring head to each other is made of such a brittle material as ceramics, plastics, etc. Therefore, when an excessive impact force is transmitted to the head through the feeler 20, the bolt 28 is broken and buffers the impulsive force. In addition, since the arm 18 and feeler 20 are directly connected with each other with the bolt 28, the measurement accuracy of the measuring head is improved.
