PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem of a multimedia information file recorded in a format wherein a unique modification is added to a regular format in edition such as coupling or division to the file that the file cannot be accurately reproduced on a receiving side when the file is transmitted to an arbitrary terminal as it is because the receiving side cannot interpret a portion added with the unique modification. SOLUTION: When processing the file, the file with the modified second format is stored in a multimedia information file storage part 101 without converting the second format into the first format, and the second format is converted into the first format in a file format conversion part 105 when it is decided that the file is transferred to the external device.
