SOLUTION: This file management device is equipped with a means (S1) to assign the image file, a means (S1) to start the application program, means (S3 and S4) to determine the attribute of the image file, and a control means (S5) to execute a function, a macro function possessed by the application program, of capturing the image file into the application program when the image file is determined to have no character attribute (NO in S4).
