PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a four-point contact ball bearing capable of preventing occurrence of so called retainer breaking and retainer slip-off, and seizure in the retainer and balls. SOLUTION: A crown type retainer 1 holds a plurality of balls 13 between an inner ring 11 and an outer ring 12 in the peripheral direction at a predetermined intervals. This crown type retainer 1 is made of self lubricating resin, and a minimum thickness A1 on the rear side thereof is set to 19 to 30% of a ball diameter. Thus the seizure, the retainer breaking and the retainer slip-off can be prevented.
