PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the output of an engine by changing the arrangement positions of an air cleaner and a resonator, and install a large-capacity resonant case by ensuring an installation space for the resonant case above a cylinder head. SOLUTION: An intake system structure for an engine arranges the resonator between an intake inlet and the air cleaner and mounts the resonator and the air cleaner on the engine. The air cleaner has a filter and an air cleaner case in which the filter is disposed. The air cleaner case is integrated with the resonant case that communicates with the clean side of the air cleaner case via a communication opening and forms an internal resonant part. The resonant case is arranged on the cylinder head, the air cleaner case is arranged beside the resonant case and above a transmission, and the resonator is arranged between the air cleaner case and the transmission.
