PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an Fe-Cr based steel sheet having remarkably improved ridging resistance by a process using an ordinary casting method and an ordinary hot rolling method. SOLUTION: The Fe-Cr based steel sheet having excellent ridging resistance has a chemical composition containing, by mass, <=0.03% C, <=2.0% Si, <=0.04% P, <=0.01% S, 8.0 to 20.0% Cr, <=0.05% N, <=0.5% Al, 0 (no addition) to 0.3% Ti, 0 (no addition) to 0.05%, preferably, 0.001 to 0.05% B, 0.01 to 5% Ni, >1.0 to 5% Mn and 0.01 to 5% Cu, and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities, and has a substantially ferritic single crystal phase structure. In the cross-section parallel to the surface of the steel sheet, large-angle grain boundaries in which the difference in the crystal orientation of the adjacent crystal grains is >=15 deg. occupy >=50% of the grain boundary length. The steel sheet can be obtained by making the crystal orientation random by a method in which quenching and ferritization heat treatment are combined.
