Treatment for multiple sclerosis using a histamine H2 agonist in combination with a phosphodiesterase inhibitor

Use of a histamine H2 agonist for the manufacture of a medicament for the treatment of multiple sclerosis, the histamine H2 mimicking substance being present in a quantity sufficient so that when the medicament is administered it is effective to stimulate production of cyclic AMP at a level which is adequate to maintain myelin against self-degeneration.
