PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To operate a private mask without any hindrance even when a monitor camera is replaced and certify an operating state of the private mask. SOLUTION: A dome camera 1 has a card slot 11 to which a memory card 12 is loadable and the memory card stores mask data for masking a privacy area. A mask processing section 14 masks the privacy area in an image imaged by an imaging section 13 on the basis of the mask data stored in the memory card and provides an output of the result to a monitor 3, and when the memory card is not loaded to the card slot 11, all areas in an imaged image are masked.
