<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact-size film sensor having high accuracy of occupant detection. <P>SOLUTION: The film sensor 1 comprises a film member 3 and lead wires, which are wired to it and electrically connect a connector 94 to sensor cells 2a to 2d, wherein the film member 3 is interposed between a skin 90 of a seat 9 and a cushion pad 91 and comprises the sensor cells 2a to 2d which detect the load conditions of the seat 9, branch line sections 30L, 30R, 31L, 31R, on which the sensor cells 2a to 2d are placed, a trunk line section 32 having a sensor-side end 320 on which the branch line sections 30L, 30R, 31L, 31R converge and a connector-side end fixed to the connector 94, arranged below the cushion pad 91. The sensor-side end 320 is placed on a virtual substantially linear band, connecting the external shape of a pair of sensor cells 2a and 2c which are placed closest to the sensor-side end 320. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2005,JPO&NCIPI</p> |
