The present invention provides an insert (100) for a patient fluid discharge tube (A) for aiding in removing the discharge tube from the patient, wherein the insert provides a smooth outer surface (12a) and also an arrangement (20) for aiding in attaching a removal tool to the insert such that the end of the discharge tube may be easily grasped and pulled from the patient.
