<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fixing apparatus which is simply constituted, whose waiting time for a first motion is shortened, and whose energy consumption is reduced, and to provide an image forming apparatus using the fixing apparatus. <P>SOLUTION: Regarding the control method for the fixing apparatus 1 where a recording paper P with an image formed with unfixed toner T is made to pass through between a heating apparatus 2 having a heater 7 and a pressure roller 3 having no heater, and the recording paper P is heated so as to fix the unfixed toner T on the recording paper P while being moved with the rotation of the pressure roller 3, the rotation procedure of the pressure roller 3 is changed based on the rotation accumulated value (th) of the pressure roller 3 after the start-up of the fixing apparatus 1. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
