A novel gelatin capsule shell having reduced hardness and enhanced chewab ility has now been discovered. The present invention is based, at least in p art, on the finding that soft gelatin capsule shells can be produced, for ex ample, by the incorporation of oil soluble flavoring and increased levels of plasticizer such as glycerin.
