METHOD OF AND APPARATUS FOR APPLYING ADHESIVE TO PACKAGING MATERIAL, ESPECIALLY IN PRODUCTION OF HINGED-LID CARTON FOR CIGARETTES

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for dealing with wrapping machines of high output performance, which allows a complicated adhesive application on packaging materials reliably and without bungle.

SOLUTION: The invention relates to a technique for applying an adhesive to a folding tab of a packaging material, namely a blank or a partly folded pack, in regard to production of a pack equipped with a folding tab connected by the adhesive or other pack parts. The technique is characterized in that a strip-like object of applied adhesive i. e. an adhesive strip is transferred to the packing material by transfer motion of the packing material to an adhesive allotter or an adhesive nozzle, and that the packing material faces and contacts the adhesive nozzle and is pressed face to face with the adhesive nozzle by elastic force, at least while applying the adhesive to the adhesive nozzle.
