<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To display a video in a correct vertical direction by receiving and displaying a transmitted video. <P>SOLUTION: A video receiving apparatus transmits a rotation angle of the video image receiving apparatus. A video transmission apparatus determines a rotation angle used for rotating a video to be transmitted based on the received rotation angle of the video receiving apparatus and a rotation angle of the video transmission apparatus and the like (at a step S21d).
