<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for manufacturing a sulfonated poly(1,3,4-oxadiazole) polymer. <P>SOLUTION: The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a sulfonated poly(1,3,4-oxadiazole) polymer. Furthermore, the invention relates to a sulfonated poly(1,3,4-oxadiazole) polymer, a membrane for use in fuel cells, a fuel cell, and a method for manufacturing a fuel cell. The method in accordance with the invention, includes the following processes: a process of preparing a solution by mixing a hydrazine sulfate, and one or more kinds of dicarboxylic acids or dicarboxylic acid derivatives in a polyphosphoric acid, a process of heating the above solution under an atmosphere of inert gas and a process of precipitating the above polymer into a basic solution. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
