PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a test kit for immunochromatography capable of suppressing nonspecific reactions due to a nonspecific factor, a false-positive factor at the time of detection, improving detection sensitivity of substances to be tested, and accurately and speedily detecting substances to be tested in specimens. SOLUTION: The test kit for immunochromatography is provided with a test piece and a developing liquid. In the test piece, a sample adding part for adding a substance to be tested, a labeled substance holding part for holding a labeled substance labeled with a specific bonding substance which specifically reacts with the substance to be tested, and a determination part in which a capture material for capturing the labeled substance labeled with the specific bonding substance which specifically reacts with the substance to be tested is immobilized are formed on a chromatography medium. The developing liquid is used for developing the substance to be tested on the test piece. Immunoglobulin derived from the same producing animal species of the capture material of the determination part and having the same subclass is mixed with the developing liquid or held by the sample adding part of the test piece or by the labeled substance holding part.
