<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transmission apparatus, receiving apparatus, and transmitting/receiving apparatus capable of dealing with both cases that a voice response like a video phone is required and that synchronism of video and audio like contents transmission is required. <P>SOLUTION: In the case of a user input of "video phone mode" from a user input processing unit 19, an encoding control unit 13 of a transmission apparatus 1 judges "out-of-synchronism" for encoding setting, supplies audio data to an audio data encoding unit 14 to produce an encoded output of the audio data and supplies video data to a composite data encoding unit 17 to produce an encoded output of the video data only. In the case of a user input of "contents transmission mode" from the user input processing unit 19, on the other hand, "synchronized" is judged for encoding setting, and both the audio data and the video data are supplied to the composite data encoding unit 17 to produce an encoded output multiplexing the audio data and the video data. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
