AGRICULTURAL FIBER MATERIAL

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an agricultural fiber material capable of preventing proliferation of a water-propagation pathogenic bacterium and a hygienic microorganism and controlling or suppressing disease injuries of farm products to enable agrochemical-reduced culture and ensuring safety of vegetable production in facility culture by utilizing antimicrobial function of a silver ion.

SOLUTION: The agricultural fiber material is obtained by mixing organic fibers nearly uniformly coated with silver, and mixing ratio of the silver-coated organic fibers is 1-50 wt.%, preferably 1-15 wt.% and coated amount of silver is 5-40 wt.% based on fiber weight of organic fibers.
