<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a Spirulina composition suppressing generation of IL-4, and to provide antiallergic food containing the Spirulina composition. <P>SOLUTION: The Spirulina composition suppresses generation of IL-4, and the antiallergic food contains the Spirulina composition. A method for preventing and ameliorating allergosis comprises intake of a composition containing the Spirulina composition. The Spirulina composition contains Spirulina and a zinc compound, and also the content of the zinc compound is 0.04-5 pts.wt. based on 100 pts.wt. of dry weight of Spirulina in terms of zinc. Intake of the Spirulina composition results in suppressing generation of IL-4 and effectively preventing and ameliorating allergosis. The food obtained by adding the composition to various kinds of food is expected to prevent and ameliorate the allergosis, and is available as antiallergic food. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
