The present invention relates to a method for preparing mesoporous silica in a transition metal salt solution. According to one embodiment of the present invention, the method for preparing mesoporous silica makes the mesoporous structure of a conventionally known mesoporous SBA-15 silica molecular sieve to be the same and can control the size of micropores, and can further improve hydrothermal stability and thermal stability since a wall is made to be thick by controlling micropores inside the wall of silica.
