摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide new nanoparticle materials that can be produced inexpensively at a high yield on a large scale, in which the nanoparticles exhibit the same monodispersity as that of a cadmium-based particle and size-adjustable photoluminescence spectra, and quantum efficiency does not become low even if cadmium is not contained.SOLUTION: A nanoparticle is comprised of a molecular cluster compound incorporating ions from group 12 and group 16 of the periodic table, and a core semiconductor material provided to the molecular cluster compound, in which the core semiconductor material incorporates ions from group 13 and group 15 of the periodic table. The molecular cluster compound incorporates zinc ions and also group 16 ions selected from the group consisting of sulfide ions, selenium ions and telluride ions. The core semiconductor material incorporates group 13 ions selected from the group consisting of aluminium ions, gallium ions and indium ions and/or group 15 ions selected from the group consisting of nitride ions, arsenide ions and antimonide ions.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
