an imaging unit that includes an imaging element for imaging a medium; an image processing unit that image-processes an image of the medium captured by the imaging unit; an electrical transmission line that electrically connects the imaging unit and the image processing unit with each other; and an electromagnetic shield that covers the imaging element, the image processing unit, and the electrical transmission line; wherein in the electromagnetic shield, the imaging unit and the image processing unit are disposed to be separated from each other, and a thermal insulation member which partitions the imaging element and the image processing unit is disposed between the imaging unit and the image processing unit.
