This device is provided with: an engagement mechanism (11) provided to an arm support section (5) for supporting a robot arm (2) so that the robot arm (2) can rotate about the rotation axis thereof; and a rotating member (12) rotating with the robot arm (2) about the rotation axis, the rotating member (12) being engaged in a releasable manner by the engagement mechanism (11) so as to be immovable in both rotational directions. When the operation of the robot is stopped, the robot arm is prevented from being displaced from a predetermined position at which the robot arm is positioned. |
