The invention provides a blood pressure measurer which is not influenced by extravasated blood generated in a position which is closer to the side of an end than a measured position on an arm of a user and caused by press increase on a sleeve belt, and measures blood pressure with high precision. The blood pressure measurer comprises a sleeve belt which winds and is worn in the measured position of the arm of the user; a sleeve belt pressure control unit which controls pressure increase and pressure reduction on the sleeve belt; a sleeve belt pressure detecting unit which detects sleeve belt pressure; a pulse wave detecting unit which detects a pulse wave superposed on the sleeve belt pressure; a blood pressure measuring unit which measures a blood pressure value of the user based on detected sleeve belt pressure and pulse wave in the process of pressure increase or pressure reduction on the sleeve belt; extravasated blood degree judging unit which, by adopting a specified method, judges the degree of extravasated blood generated in the position closer to the side of the end than the measured position and caused by pressure increase on the sleeve belt; a blood pressure calculating unit which corrects the measured blood pressure value based on the judged extravasated blood degree; and a blood pressure displaying unit which displays the corrected blood pressure value. |
