The receiver has an antenna (14) receiving satellite signals and a fixing unit for mounting the antenna on a movable object e.g. motor vehicle. A liquid crystal display (16) indicates reception quality of the signals, and an information transmitting unit transmits information concerning the reception quality of the satellite signals on a data bus of the movable object. A turning knob allows selection of different display modes. Independent claims are also included for the following: (A) a method for assembling an antenna of a satellite signal receiver (B) a movable object such as motor vehicle, comprising a satellite signal receiver.
