Automatic game timer - is controlled by referees whistle which remotely actuates summing chronometer via pressure sensitive switched transmitter (BR 5.12.78)

The automatic timer is for sporting events which are periodically interrupted by a referee's whistle. This is achieved by a remote chronometer which is switched off automatically and restarted in response to the whistle. A conduit connects a pressure sensitive switch (3) to the whistle (1). The switch (3) actuates a transmitter (4) carried by the referee to signal operation of the remote chronometer (7). After a total preset elapsed playing time excluding interruption, the chronometer signals via a loudspeaker, when the game should finish.
