PURPOSE:To eliminate the connection between a coil and a pole by continuously winding a coil of the first phase including the connection between the poles in a slot, laminating the exterior of a core from the outermost layer, and sequentially laminating the coils of the second and third phases, thereby continuously winding the coils of the respective phases. CONSTITUTION:When an armature winding of a 3-phase rotary electric machine such as 4-pole 3-phase armature coils of 8/9 short pitch winding in chain winding of 2-phase coils are wound, for example, in 36 slots 1-36, the coil 40 of the first phase is formed of coil groups 47-50 of four groups, the coil groups are wound in connection of isolated pole including the connection between the poles in the sequence of 47-49-50-48, and wound while superposing lower and upper coil sides 45, 46. Then, the coil groups 51-54 of the second phase are displaced and wound similarly at an electric angle of 120 deg. from the coil 4 of the first phase in the sequence of 51-53-54-52, and the coil groups 55-58 of the third phase are eventually wound and superposed on the coil of the second phase in the sequence of 55-57-58-56. |
