PURPOSE:To move the image to a desired position to copy it by correcting the calculated value of scan length based on the paper size and the magnification in accordance with the extent of movement of the image and correcting the resist timing of paper supply in accordance with the extent of movement of the image if an editing mode is set. CONSTITUTION:The editing mode or the like is inputted to control copying. First, the scan length is calculated by paper size/magnification. If a movement flag is '0' the value obtained by adding the extent of movement to the calculated scan length is set as the scan length, and a resist timer is corrected to delay the operation timing of a resist roller 16 by the extent of movement, and this timing is quickened by the extent of movement in case of backward movement. After these processing, lens movement and scan speeds are calculated in accordance with the magnification to terminate copying. Thus, when the extent of movement of the image is set in the editing mode, the scan length is set in accordance with this extent, and therefore, the resist timing of paper supply is corrected, and the image is freely moved in the scanning direction and is edited. |
