PURPOSE: To allow an electrolyte composition to form a very thin electrolyte layer when melted and extruded into an anode, or cathode, half-element by containing a specific amount of plasticizer, a thermoplastic or thermosetting polymer induced from a hetero-atom-containing monomer, and a molten alkaline metal salt. CONSTITUTION: This electrolyte composition contains at least 65wt.% plasticizer, a thermoplastic or thermosetting polymer, which is either entirely or partly induced from a monomer having hetero atoms (e.g. oxygen atoms or nitrogen atoms) so that the polymer can dissolve alkaline metal ions, and an alkaline metal salt (forming a solid solution in the polymer). Therefore, a very thin electrolyte layer can be formed in a cathode, or anode, half-element by extrusion method or solution flow spreading method, etc. |
