<p>Before feeding a flow of liquid, a plasma generating gas is fed into a gas chamber (2) and spinned in relation to the axis of the gas chamber (2). A tangential flow of liquid is fed into a plasma generating chamber (3) and an auxiliary discharge is generated in the plasma generating chamber (3), by means of which the main arc is initiated. After initiating of the main arc the gas feeding is discontinued and the pressure of the liquid is brought up to the pressure at which the main arc is used. The plasma generator has an electrode (12), a system for generation of the auxiliary arc provided with a power source (28), a gas chamber (2) connected to a gas source, and a plasma generating chamber (3) connected to a liquid source through a channel for tangential feeding of the liquid, a diaphragm (9) of the plasma generating chamber (3) located on the side of the gas chamber (2), and a nozzle (4) located on the opposite side of the plasma generating chamber (3). The gas chamber is provided with a device (7) for generation of the gas flow spinned in relation to the axis of the plasma generating chamber (3). The diaphragm divides the gas chamber (2) and the plasma generating chamber (3) and is electrically connected with the power source (28) of the system for generation of the auxiliary arc. A water discharging sleeve (13) is mounted outside the nozzle (4) and is provided with a through central opening (14) coaxial to the opening of the nozzle (4) and with an annular nozzle (15) coaxial with the central opening.</p> |
