RECORDING AND REPRODUCING DEVICE WITH AUTOMATIC ZOOM FUNCTION

PURPOSE:To provide the video recording and reproducing device having a function of zooming up a key person of conversion automatically. CONSTITUTION:A left sound and a right sound inputted respectively from a left microphone 1 and a right microphone 2 are inputted to a comparator circuit 5 via a left level conversion circuit 3 and a right level conversion circuit 4 respectively, a zoom position is discriminated and zoom position information is generated and it is converted into a VASS code via a VASS code conversion circuit 6. The code is added to a video signal inputted to a camera section 7 by a VASS code addition circuit 8 and recorded on a magnetic tape 17 by a recording magnetic head 9. The signal is reproduced by a reproduction magnetic head 10 and inputted to a reproduction process circuit 11 and a VASS code separator circuit 12. The VASS code is separated from the inputted reproduced data and the code is inputted to an electronic zoom 14. The video signal is reproduced by the reproduction process circuit 11. The zoom video signal is obtained by the electronic zoom 14. The zoom video signal or the video signal is selected by a switch 15 and the optional video signal is outputted onto a TV display device 16.
