PURPOSE:To obtain the title compsn. which is excellent in heat resistance, moldability, etc., and also in mechanical properties such as impact strength, stiffness, elongation, etc. CONSTITUTION:A resin compsn. is prepd. by compounding a compsn. comprising 85-99.9wt.% syndiotactic styrenic polymer, 0.1-10wt.% polar polymer having the compatibility with or affinity for the styrenic polymer (e.g. a modified syndiotactic polystyrene or a modified polyphenylene ether), and optionally 0.1-5wt.% polyphenylene ether with a polar rubbery elastomer (e.g. a maleic- anhydride-modified hydrogenated styrene-butadiene-styrene block copolymer) and if necessary a rubbery elastomer (e.g. a butadiene-styrene block copolymer). The objective thermoplastic resin compsn. is prepd. by compounding 100 pts.wt. above-prepd. resin compsn. with 1-350 pts.wt. inorg. filler. |
