PURPOSE:To enable to raise a bedstead quickly in emergency by making a pair of bevel gears of the raising mechanism of a bedstead so that it can be disengaged by a disengaging means and by disengaging the pair of bevel gears to remove a screw shaft from a drive source so that the shaft can freely rotate. CONSTITUTION:In usual, a first bevel gear 20 of an output shaft 19 is engaged with a second bevel gear 27 of a shaft 26 with a coil spring 25. In this condition, when a motor 15 is driven to rotate an output shaft 16, a raising arm 8 under a bedstead 41 connected to the top end of a operating stamp 10 is rotated gradually to raise the bedstead 41. While if the bedstead 41 is required to raise quickly due to a sudden change of the condition of a patient, an operating lever 33 is depressed and an operating wire 32 connected to the operating lever is pulled to remove the first bevel gear 20 from the second bevel gear 27. This allows the operating stamp 10 to be freely moved against the shaft 26, resulting in quick raising of the bedstead plate 41. |
