<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To detach, by a simple operation, the protective covers of developing rollers disposed in respective developing units in an image forming apparatus in the direction of the circumference of a rotary body. <P>SOLUTION: The four developing units 5Y, 5M, 5C, and 5K are mounted in the direction of the circumference of the rotary shaft member 41, and protective covers 100Y, 100M, 100C, and 100K are attached to openings 48A from which their respective developing rollers 48 are exposed. A tape member 116 is attached with a slack to the protective covers 100Y, 100M, 100C, and 100K so as to extend across the protective covers along the circumference of the rotary shaft member 41. The terminal end of the tape member 116 attached to the protective cover 100Y serves as an operation part 116A for pulling the protective cover 100Y in the direction of the rotation. Upon the pulling of the operation part 116A, the rotary shaft member 41 rotates to move the developing units 5Y, 5M, 5C, and 5K such that the protective covers 100Y, 100M, 100C, and 100K are detached in order. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
