PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an optical pickup which has a good signal characteristic and whose yield is high by a method wherein a close contact reinforcement layer whose close contact property is high with reference to both a substrate and a reflecting film is formed between the substrate and the reflecting film. SOLUTION: A close contact reinforcement layer 52 which has a good close contact property with reference to a substrate 51 is formed on the face 51a of the substrate 51. It is preferable that the close contact reinforcement layer 52 uses a material such as Pt, Cr or the like which has a good close contact property with a glass forming the substrate. By using such a configuration, a close contact property can be enhanced between other optical materials and the substrate 51, and it is possible to reduce that the optical members and the substrate are stripped during a process. Especially, Ti is excellent in a close contact property with both the substrate 51 and a reflecting film 53, it is low-cost, and it is a very favorable material. |
