PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To execute a discount with less storage capacity on fine conditions and to perform a smooth sales registration processing. SOLUTION: At the time of registration, a department code is inputted, commodity information corresponding to the inputted department code is read from the commodity information including unit price and commodity name stored beforehand corresponding to the department codes in the areas 48 and 49 of the department file 41 of a RAM and the sales registration processing is performed. In the areas 50-59b of the department file 41, discount information including the discount start time, discount rate, the number of times of the discount and discount interval time is respectively stored beforehand. When the time measured by a clock part exceeds the discount start time, the unit price is changed to a value discounted by the discount rate and the sales registration processing is executed based on the discounted unit price. Such a discount is repeated the number of times of the discount at every interval of a discount time. |
