PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excellent image whose density and gradation expression are not changed even when a photoreceptor is nearly dead in an image processor, an image processing method and a storage medium. SOLUTION: A cartridge 4 is provided with the photoreceptor drum 44, a developing cylinder 43 developing a latent image with developer, and a non- volatile memory 6. The cartridge 4 is attachably/detachably attached to a laser beam printer 1 main body. A printer engine 9 reads out the integrated value of the rotational amount of the drum 44 stored in the memory 6 of the cartridge 4, counts the rotational amount of the drum 44 at the time of forming an image by a specified amount, and adds a result to the integrated value read out so as to update the value. A toner residual amount detection circuit (35) detects whether or not the residual amount of the developer is equal to or above the specified one based on a detection signal from the cartridge 4. When the residual amount is equal to or above the specified one and the added integrated value is equal to or under a specified value, a parameter for forming an image is set to a value different from usual, and then the image is optimally formed according to the integrated value of the rotational amount of the drum 44. |
