PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify operation as well as a system configuration and to promote spreading to general users by using a prism also as a mouse button and incorporating within the mouse a camera, with which light reflected on the prism is detected. SOLUTION: Inside a mouse having a USB interface, an LED light source 1, a prism 2, a lens 3, a CCD 4, an A/D converter 5, a camera control part 6 and an image memory 7 are provided. Then, the image of a fingerprint inside a finger pressing the prism 2 is photographed by the CCD 4 and transferred through a USB control part 14 to a computer. In this case, the prism 2 which is used also as the left button of the mouse is arranged so as to press a left switch 8 by pressing the prism 2. Since the fingerprint image can be naturally transferred to the computer by performing ordinary mouse operation, input, it is not necessary in the case of fingerprint image input to move a hand from the mouse so that computer operation is not disturbed. |
