PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a signal recovery method which can recover a missing part of a two-dimensional signal having its pattern that delicately varies at every position like the image data on the grain, etc. SOLUTION: For instance, the grain contours 3 and 4 are designated by means of a mouse, etc., to a displayed section image of wood. The interior division lines 5 which are set in parallel to both contours 3 and 4 are calculated, and the data strings are generated to represent the luminance data, etc., corresponding to the positions set on every interior division line. The parts 5-3 and 5-4 including the data are set as the 1st and 2nd signals to each data string. Then a 3rd signal is found to secure the smooth connection between the 1st and 2nd signals. The 3rd signal corresponding to each interior division line is converted into a two-dimensional signal, and a recovery signal is outputted to the two-dimensional signal that has a missing part. |
