PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily transfer an extrusion molded parison to a mold while stretching the parison without collapsing the same and to mold this parison so as to obtain uniform wall thickness. SOLUTION: A parison handling apparatus has a pair of opposed arms 22, 24 each having at least a pair of grasping parts 26, 28, 30 engaged with an extrusion molded parison 16 to transfer the same to the second position of the mold of a blow molding machine. At least one grasping part of each arm is slid and pivotally moved to facilitate the initial engagement and grasping of the parison and the closing and stretching of the end part to be grasped of the parison and the material of the parison is more efficiently distributed so that the molded product after the blow molding of the parison has uniform wall thickness as a whole. |
