PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable great mass purge by accurately and shortly predicting a fuel amount desorbed from a canister during purge treatment and air/fuel ratio change due to purge resulting therefrom and correcting a fuel injection amount in accordance with the predicted air/fuel ratio change to reduce in air/fuel ratio change. SOLUTION: An evaporating fuel adsorbed by an activated carbon 4a in the canister 4 is introduced into an engine 10 and treated by utilizing a negative pressure in a suction passage 8, while a controller 21 estimates a fuel amount desorbed from the canister 4 during purge treatment by using a canister model (a physical model) composed of an expression for computing a suction amount and an expression for computing a desorption amount from the adsorption amount and a purge factor, and corrects a fuel injection pulse width to be output to a fuel injection valve 15 for reducing air/fuel ratio change due to the supply of the desorbed fuel to the engine 10.
