<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a metal-supported zeolite molded material wherein sulfur compounds containing not only thiols and sulfides but also carbonyl sulfide in hydrocarbon fuel or a dimethyl ether fuel can be effectively removed to low concentrations and a production method therefor, and an adsorbent for removing sulfur compounds containing the metal-supported zeolite molded material, and to provide a method for effectively producing hydrogen using this adsorbent from the hydrocarbon fuel or the dimethyl ether fuel after desulfurization and a fuel cell system using its hydrogen. <P>SOLUTION: The metal-supported zeolite molded material has a metal component both inside and outside a zeolite crystal. The production method for the metal-supported zeolite molded material is so constituted that a zeolite molded material is used, a metal ion is supported in inside of the zeolite crystal by metal-exchanging and then a metal or a metal compound is supported outside the zeolite crystal. The adsorbent for removing the sulfur compound has this metal-supported zeolite molded material. Hydrogen is produced from the hydrocarbon fuel or the dimethyl ether fuel after desulfurization by using this adsorbent.
