PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an extraction device capable of efficiently and automatically extracting a specific material such as a nucleic acid in a sample liquid in a short time, carrying out the introduction of pressurized air and the release of the pressure by each extraction cartridge, and carrying out precise extraction and preventing contamination. SOLUTION: The extraction device adsorbs a specific material such as the nucleic acid by using extraction cartridges 11 having filter members, and allowing the sample liquid to be pressurized. A pressurized air-feeding structure 4 for introducing the pressurized air to the extraction cartridges 11 has an air pump 43, opening and closing valves 45 for opening and closing each of the feed of the pressurized air, installed in feeding routes of the pressurized air to two or more extraction cartridges 11, and pressure-releasing valves 44a for releasing the pressure of each of the extraction cartridges 11. The extraction device is operated by introducing the pressurized air to the extraction cartridges 11, air-tightly closing the extraction cartridges, releasing each of the pressure-releasing valves 44a when the discharge of the liquid is finished, and releasing the pressurized air remaining in the extraction cartridges 11.
