PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an air blasting type apparatus for controlling insect pests designed to make insect pest control ingredients reach the head area and feet area of a user in a short time and control the insect pests from the initial period of use when the apparatus is attached to the waist of the user for use. SOLUTION: This air blasting apparatus for controlling the insect pests is equipped with an apparatus body 1 having a suction port 5, a first exhaust port 6 and a second exhaust port 7, a chemical holder 2 provided in the apparatus body 1, a fan 3 and a motor 4. The chemical holder 2 holds the insect pest control ingredients and air is sucked from the suction port 5 by rotating the fan 3 with the motor 4. The air blasting apparatus exposes the chemical holder 2 to the air and discharges the air together with the insect control ingredients from the first exhaust port 6 and the second exhaust port 7 into the open air. In the apparatus, the first exhaust port 6 and second exhaust port 7 have a hole shape with a prescribed length in the radial direction and tilted from the rotative direction of the fan 3. When the apparatus body 1 is attached to the body of the user for use, the air is discharged from the first exhaust port 6 in the upward direction and the air is discharged from the second exhaust port 7 in the downward direction.
