PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cause a discharge wire to stably discharge electricity while maintaining the discharge wire at a uniform temperature distribution.
SOLUTION: A heating section 44 has a heating wire 441, three adjusting resistors 443, and a heating power source 444. The adjusting resistor 443a is connected in parallel to a region 442 a in the central part of the heating wire 441. The adjusting resistors 443b and 443c are connected in parallel to a region 442b and 442c respectively at both ends of the heating wire 441. The resistance value Rb of the adjusting resistor 443b and the resistance value Rc of the adjusting resistor 443c at both ends are higher than the resistance value Ra of the adjusting resistor 443a in the central part. The voltage applied to a region 442b and region 442c near both ends of the heating wire 441 rises higher than the voltage applied to a region 442a in the central part of the heating wire 441. The temperature near both ends of the heating wire 441 rises higher than that in the central part and therefore the adjacent portions near both ends of the discharge wire 40 are more likely to be heated than in the central part.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI |
