<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve a particulate combustion speed and exhaust emission control capacity of a DPF, while minimizing the quantity of catalytic metal to be used. <P>SOLUTION: A wall surface constituting an exhaust gas passage of the DPF is coated with a catalyst layer for promoting combustion of a collected particulate. This catalyst layer is mainly composed of Ce, and includes double oxide 13 including rare earth metal or alkaline earth metal except for the Ce and alumina 14, and carries Pt on the double oxide 13 and the alumina 14. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT</p> |
