<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a highly safe antineoplastic agent having high antineoplastic effect. <P>SOLUTION: The antineoplastic agent comprises, as active ingredients, Lyophyllum decastes (Fr.) Sing extract and an acidic xylooligosaccharide having uronic acid residue(s) in one xylooligosaccharide molecule. In this antineoplastic agent, it is preferable that the acidic xylooligosaccharide consists of a mixed composition of oligosaccharides differing in xylose polymerization degree and has 2.0-15.0 in average polymerization degree, and the acidic xylooligosaccharide is preferably such as to be obtained by the following process: A lignocellulose material is enzymatically and/or physicochemically treated to obtain a conjugate of xylooligosaccharide component and lignin component followed by subjecting the conjugate to acid hydrolysis treatment to obtain a xylooligosaccharide mixture, from which the aimed xylooligosaccharide having in one molecule at least one uronic acid residue as side chain is isolated. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2008,JPO&INPIT |
