<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a reduction gear (having a vertical shaft) adopting oil lubrication for a speed reduction mechanism in a reduction gear and capable of being installed in the normally erected and inverted posture. <P>SOLUTION: A worm reduction gear 38 which supports an input shaft (vertical shaft) 42 arranged in a vertical direction in a casing 40 by a pair of upper bearing 44A and lower bearing 44B, seals lubricating oil OL in the casing 40 and grease in both the upper bearing 44A and lower bearing 44B. Gaps between the insides of the bearings 44A, 44B and of the casing 40 are blocked with leaving only a clearance δ1 through which air is allowed to pass and grease is not allowed to pass. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
